How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to operate and secure Al-Qādirī Institute:
• To authenticate your account and enforce student, teacher and administrator permissions
• To personalise learning, save progress and issue certificates
• To process registrations and provide requested educational services
• To send notifications you have chosen to receive
• To answer enquiries, moderate community contributions and prevent abuse
• To maintain reliable and secure services
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Service Providers, Storage & Security
We use service providers only where needed to operate the platform, including Supabase for authentication, database and storage; Vercel for application hosting; Apple for App Store subscriptions; and mapping, weather and prayer-time providers when you request those tools. These providers process data under their own security and privacy obligations.
We use encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, database access controls and role-based permissions. Data may be processed in the countries where these providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
Retention and Account Deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and prevent abuse.
You can permanently delete your account from My Account → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This removes your authentication account and associated personal learning data. Transaction, moderation and safeguarding records may be pseudonymised and retained only where legally or operationally necessary. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage or cancel it separately in Apple subscription settings. You may also contact alqadiriinstitute@gmail.com for assistance.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
• Right to access: request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Right to rectification: correct any inaccurate personal data
• Right to portability: receive your data in a portable format
• Right to object: object to processing of your data
• Right to withdraw consent: withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at alqadiriinstitute@gmail.com
Cookies
We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in and on-device storage for preferences you choose. We do not set analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The app does not show an optional-cookie consent prompt because no optional tracking cookies are collected.
Children's Privacy
Al-Qādirī Institute is designed for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
