Why weather affects Salah
Heavy rain, severe cold, strong wind, or darkness are valid reasons (udhur) under Hanafi fiqh to pray Jama'ah at home rather than the masjid. This is a mercy (rukhsa) from Allah — not a shortcut. The ruling applies when travelling to the masjid would cause genuine hardship.
رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَة لَنَا بِهِ
Entering the Masjid
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Allāhummaftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik
"O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy."
Leaving the Masjid
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Allāhumma innī as'aluka min faḍlik
"O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty."
